Wyatt DynaPro Plate Reader

Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) is a practical technique to determine size (hydrodynamic radius/diameter) and size distribution of materials that suspended in a liquid (i.e., water, buffer, medium). While most of the DLS instruments available in the market commonly used cuvettes for loading the samples and analysis, DynaPro Plate Reader is the automated equipment to rapidly test a large number of samples in up to 1,536 well plate for high-throughput analysis/screening. This unique capability allows for approach in multiple applications which needs of large-scale research including environmental/public health, pharmaceutical, and chemical/biomedical industry.

Equipment Features:

  • Good for studies of nanoparticles, proteins, vesicles, viruses, and colloids

  • User a laser with a wavelength of approximately 830 nm and 50 mW optical power

  • Supported well plate: 96, 384 and 1,536

  • Automatically determine the laser power and attenuation level for each measurement in real time

  • Minimum volume and concentration requirement: 0.25 mg/mL and 4 μL

  • Available temperature control and size range: 4-70 °C and 0.5-1000 nm in radius

Size distributions measured quickly and easily

Widely used in biochemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceutical development, dynamic light scattering (DLS) is popular wherever the size distributions of nanomaterials need to be measured quickly and easily for a wide range of analytes such as:

  • Proteins, peptides, nucleic acids and their aggregates.
  • Nano-drug delivery systems, e.g., liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), micelles, gene vectors and viruses.
  • Nanoparticles and nanoplastics.
  • Polymers and hydrogels.
  • Compound aggregates.
  • Whether measuring directly in microwell plates, in conventional cuvette-based format, automated or online in conjunction with a MALS detector.
